SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it really is alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention experiences a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that office here to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
